ARROGANCE

“Arrogance” is a term invented for the Circassian by enslavers, and at the same time by those they had already enslaved. It arose because the Circassian did not tolerate despots and tyrants over himself, and because of his free way of life. The Circassian was proud, but not arrogant, remaining approachable and simple.

Pride is equally hated by both the master and the slave. Later, religious condemnation from Abrahamic religions was added to this false label applied to the Circassians.

Of course, the substitution of concepts is one of the means of manipulating the consciousness of our people. A sense of dignity and the striving for freedom are presented as arrogance in order to accuse us of a deadly sin and lay the blame for our genocide entirely on ourselves.

In general, it is very difficult for slaves (both enslavers and the enslaved) to understand that the striving for freedom is the highest value!
